Vocabulary and Word Building Competition

Nanny Kiddies World organizes Inter School Vocabulary / word Building Competition on 07.09.2019 at our School premises. Kids of LKG, UKG, Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 can participate in this competition.

RULES & REGULATIONS – Grade 1, 2, 3

1. Written Competition for the grade: 1,2 and 3

2. Exam sheets will be provided

3. Competition rounds and topics:

   1. First round topic: “Words starts with given Alphabet” – Three letters will be provided on the spot to the kids to build the words: Eg : B – Balloon, Battle, Base, Etc,,, Kids should write like this for 3 Alphabets.

For grade 1 – Four letter word and above

For Grade 2 & 3 – Five letter word and above

Time limit: 5 minutes

1. 2. Second round Topic: “Building words with ending letter (Like Anthakshrai) “, Time limit – 3 minutes. (1^st word will be given by the judge on the spot)

Eg; School – ladder – round – distribute – equator ………. etc…

1. 3. Final round Topic: “Jumble Words “Time Limit – 2 minutesNames of Person, Animals, Plants, Flowers, Places etc… will be evaluate “as a wrong word.”

Spelling mistake will be evaluated as a “ wrong word”

4. Tie – up rounds will be decided accordingly if required.

5. Toppers will be selected for final round. Winners at each round should wait for the consecutive rounds.

6. The decision of the Mentor will be final

7. Participants are requested to report at the venue 30 minutes before the commencement of competition

8. Kids will not be allowed to participate in the competition once started.

9. Identity Card is compulsory for participants

10. Kids are requested to bring the exam pad and the stationary required.

Certificates and Prizes

For 1st round entry: Participation certificate will be provided

For 2^nd round entry: Participation certificate and a small gift will be provided

For final round 1^st three places: Medals and certificate will be provided

Note: Each Grade will be evaluated separately

1. Oral Competition for the grade: LKG and UKG

2. First and Second Round: Kids will be given a topic in which they should develop words related to the topic. Topics for the competition are listed below. (NOTE: Names of Animals, Plants, flowers, places Etc… will not be accepted….)

• Birthday

• Forest

• Clothes

• Colours

• Food

• Travel

• Shopping

• Nature

• Weather

• School

• Home

• Universe

• India – No Names of States

• Festivals – NO Names

• Family

• Science

3. Each team of each grade will consist of 4 – 5 students & number of teams are limited according to the entries until the last date of registration

4. Toppers will be selected for final round. Winners at each round should wait for the consecutive rounds.
